Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including AR/AP, bank reconciliations, and monthly close processes
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly P&L reviews and variance analysis
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
- Monitor and analyze AR aging reports to optimize cash flow and collections
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders (auditors, tax advisors, etc.)
- Oversee the proper recording and recognition of revenue, including handling of upfront payments and deferrals
- Ensure accurate synchronization between our billing system (Stripe) and accounting system (Xero)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting/finance experience
- Currently pursuing CPA designation or recently obtained
- Strong proficiency with accounting software (Xero experience preferred)
- Experience with subscription-based revenue models and SaaS businesses
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Bonus
- Experience with Stripe or other payment processing platforms
- Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment
- Knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
- Experience with implementing or improving financial systems and processes
